Jazz Info

Hello All,

The St. AA festival April 5th we may not be able to rehearse before hand. My school's musical is next week so I'm pretty booked up over the next week and a half. If I can coordinate a quick rehearsal at Wood that day or sometime the first week of April I will let you know ASAP.

As for the St. Dot's fest on April 6th we will perform 3 songs for our set. I would love to work Cold Duck time in for this event but we may not be able to if we don't squeeze a rehearsal in. Please have your students work on Cold Duck time with the recording on the blog.

The Jazz Fest at ABW on May 1st. Is a Thursday, I am currently working on a formal letter you can submit to your principals for permission to attend. The OCE said this must be done on a school to school basis but they don't expect any problems getting approval from the schools to excuse the students. The festival will begin at 10am and run all day till 4:30. There will be a break then the concert starts at 6:30 we will be performing first. Denis and George will sit in with the kids and solo on the songs with them. It is a really cool event. The kids should come ready to play and ready to learn! These are two of the best educators in the country and will be an awesome experience for everyone involved.
