Hello Parents,

This SATURDAY December 3rd is our FIRST Jazz All Star rehearsal which will be held from 1:30 - 3:30 at:

Nativity of Our Lord School 
585 W. Street Rd
Warminster, PA 18974

Please enter through the "D entrance" located next to the large parking lot behind school. 

Music will be handed out on Saturday at rehearsal please be sure to bring everything you need to play, YOU DO NOT NEED A MUSIC STAND! I have plenty!

Please feel free to bring a snack and water bottle to rehearsal (No gatorade or sugary drinks please), as well as a check made out to "OCE" for $25

Also I need to collect parent information, PLEASE CLICK HERE to fill out the 2016 - 2017 parent information form.

I look forward to seeing you all on Saturday. If your student is unable to attend due to a previous conflict please notify me at dmyers@noolp.org

P.S. Drummers do not need to bring a drum set but please bring any sticks/hotrods/brushes you have. For Mallet Percussion please bring your bell kit for this week, I am working on getting a set of vibes for the year!

Hello All Stars!

Hello All Stars,

Congratulation's to those of you who have been selected for the 2016 - 2017 Jazz All Stars.  Please see the dates below and be sure to note them in your calendar. I am going ask ask that everyone do everything they can to be sure they attend all reherasals and performances so that we can be prepared for our concerts and competitions.  I am very excited to be conducting the ensemble again this year and have some incredible songs selected for our first show.

Our first rehearsal will be held on December 3rd at

Nativity of Our Lord School  
585 W. Street Rd
Warminster, PA 18974

This year we will be practicing in the MUSIC ROOM 118 not the gym due to some volleyball conflicts.  When you arrive please park in the back of school and use the "D" entrance located oppisite the playground (Nearest to the courtyard).

Each student must also have their membership checks ($25 dollars) made out to OCE.  This is a seperate fee from Honor Band, so please be sure to send a check in with your students for me to collect.

We play at 5:45-6:15 families do not need tickets to hear us as we perform in the lobby. However they will need tickets to attend the full concert which begins at 7pm

Harrisburg LAST UPDATE!

Hello All! 

Below is a copy of the email I received from Sister Lauretta, there are some conflicting times being sent out to the HS students involving an 8:00am arrival time however it appears that as long as you are seated ON THE BUS before 9:00am you should be fine! Please remember

Dress Code: School Uniform (clean ideally :-D) 

Instrument: Bring everything you need reeds, valve oil, etc

Music: ALL YOUR MUSIC! (I found the BASS folder left at ABW)

Music Stand: May not need one but lets bring some folding ones just in case!

Lunch Money: $10

Tip Money: $2-3 for bus driver

DVDs: If you wanna watch a movie on the bus!

When arriving at carroll drive around the school until you see 2 large stage coach buses! Thats us! PLEASE CALL MY CELL if you have any issues 215-290-4887

Here is all the Harrisburg details. OCE is asking each student to bring $10 to pay for our pizza lunch.

Dates and time update

Hello Parents,

I am sorry for the delay in updating you on times and dates. I have been scrambling with our school musical and am trying hard to keep everything straight!

This weekend Feb 28th is the Festival Band Concert at Archbishop Wood HS (ABW) we will meet at 1:30in the band room to rehearse the concert will be held at 4:30PM Please have students look at 

March 1st. Harrisburg Trip- I will send another email today or tomorrow with bus times and confirm locations. We have left from Carroll the last 2 years so I am assuming it is the same! 

Saturday March 5th we will be at VJM for the St. Katherine Drexel Jazz Festival which starts at 7pm. Please arrive at 6:00-6:15 to tune and warm up! 

Saturday March 19th will be the Jazz Fest at St. Aloysius I cannot attend this even as it is the same day as my school musical so there will be a guest conductor running the band. Call time is 6:00PMShow starts at 7:00PM

Other Rehearsals- Depending on how Sunday Feb 28th Goes I may try to squeeze 1 extra rehearsal before our competitions start I will let the students and parents know after this weekend if we need more time to prep!

Friday's Concert @ Archbishop Carol

Hello Parents/Students,

Just a reminder that THIS FRIDAY is the Honor Band / Jazz Band concert at Archbishop Carol.  Students will arrive at 12:15 for Honor Band rehearsal.  Jazz Bands rehearsal time is 3:30-4:00 please arrive in uniform and ready to play. The concert begins at 7pm sharp! Students will be fed dinner prior to the show. See you all Friday!

Jazz Update 1/11/16

Hello Jazz All Stars,

Please Download and Print This Harrisburg Permission Slip and have your principals sign it.  Please bring the filled out form to this Sundays rehearsal.

Parents should also fill out this ONLINE Harrisburg attendance form for those interested in attending and/or riding on the bus!

Please make sure that you filled out my ONLINE Jazz Registration form and that you have sent in your $25 registration fee made out to the "OCE". Also please sign up for my emergency Text alert system by CLICKING HERE! 

I know there are a lot of different forms but please be sure that you have filled out one of each. These online forms create different spreadsheets that I can pull from and keep everything nice and organized. There may be some repetitive request for info (i.e. cell phone or email etc) but please be sure to fill it out properly on each form. I have not yet found a way to link forms together yet so for now I have to use different forms for each event!
